Those colourful days of mine
Saturday, 19 November 2011
On August 24, 2004, I stepped into the faculty of social science of Jahangir Nagar University. I used to enjoy time in this faculty in my early days, and feeling of that time was different. I was a student of Economics. I have obtained my masters examination result on September 19, 2010 after a long six years and 20 days. I have earned the experience of all kinds as a student of public university during the period.
As my residence was near to the University Campus, I used to turn up to my residence for sleep. Most of the time I used to have my breakfast with bread, pulse & fried vegetables or egg podge in the hotel of Sohel and Mamun located at the gate of dairy firm after getting from sleep. After that I used to Meher Crossing for a stroll after the class. I did not drink tea but yet I asked Meher Bhai or Hannan to serve tea at our gossiping time.
From Meher crossing, I used to go to Nuru or Santo Bhai's Hotel for my lunch at Bat Tola. Gossiping continued there upto 3-30 P.M. After that we used to walk for transport. The gossiping continued beneath the shadow of a coconut tree, inside of the shop of Mostafa, or friend used to play football or cricket unto evening. If there was any game going on in the central field, then we went to play outside the field.
Some time we passed our evening, taking Fuska or Chatpatty having been seated in the devider of Meher crossing. Then I went to Bat Tola to have my dinner. After dinner I used to return to my residence singing song loudly.
I passed my best time during the university Rag-day. I had some best friends -- both senior & junior -- in my university life which will remain in my heart forever. To-day I am no longer a student of this University, yet I feel pain in my heart when I remember those days. I am really grateful to my parents that they did not block my way in my life and faith. I do not know whether I could keep their faith, but I had tried my best to be a part of this campus.
When I walk through the green path, I could feel that everything still remains in perfect condition, but then is no such friends like Meher crossing, gossiping and rythms of transport. Now there is no shouting, slogging and no lunch and dinner at Battola. Still today when I remember those days some time I laugh and some time tears roll down my cheeks. A question always strikes my mind about those golden days which will never come again.
