Three accused of bomb attack on Taposh sent to jail

Three accuse of the bomb attack on ruling party lawmaker Barrister Fazle Noor Taposh were sent to Dhaka Central Jail Saturday after expiry of their remand in police custody, reports BSS.
A team of the Detective Branch (DB) of police produced Freedom Party cadre Abdur Rahim, Nazmul Hassan alias Imran and Mahbub Hassan alias Sohel, two sons of former Lt Col Mohiddin Ahmed, before the court of Metropolitan Magistrate (MM) AZM Mehedi Hassan.
The MM ordered the police to send them to Dhaka Central Jail as the police did not apply for further remand.
The court earlier Thursday sent Kamrul Haque Swapon, brother of sacked major Shariful Haque Dalim and Shafiullah alias Sapu to the jail.
The DB police force is now interrogating Khandkar Mehnaz Rashid, daughter of former Colonel Khandkar Abdur Rashid and Md Ataul Huda, nephew of former major Bazlul Huda taking into remand.
Police force for their alleged involvement in an attack on Barrister Taposh on October 21 at Motijheel Commercial Area arrested them all. Barrister Taposh, MP from Dhaka-12 constituency and a panel lawyer of Bangabandhu murder trial.
