Saturday, 28 July 2007

BENAPOLE, July 27 (UNB): Three Bangladeshi schoolboys, who were trafficked to India two years back, returned home Wednesday through the Benapole border.
An organised gang of criminals trafficked the three boys - Nivel Mondal (14), Rintu Hossain (12) of Daulatpur, Kushtia, and Shahidul Islam (9) of Putiya, Rajshahi- to Kolkata two years back.
Kolkata police arrested them from Sealdah rail station and sent them to Alipur jail hajat.
An NGO of Kolkata, Projok, kept the three Bangladeshi boys at their shelter home after securing their release.
With the assistance of Bangladesh National Women Lawyers Association (BNWLA), Indian Border Security Force (BSF) handed over the boys to the BDR in the afternoon.
The BDR later handed over them to a representative of BNWLA.
