Three Bangladeshis die in Saudi car crash

Three Bangladeshis have been killed in a road accident in Saudi Arabian capital Riyadh on their way back to Bangladesh after performing Umrah in Makkah. The deceased have been identified as Nizam Uddin, 40, hailed from Kanaighat upazila of Sylhet district, Masuk Talukder, 45, from Dirai upazila of Sunamganj district and Moudud Ahmed Raihan Chowdhury of Fenchuganj upazila of Sylhet. Mizanur Rahman, secretary of Bangladesh Embassy in Riyadh confirmed the incident. The accident took place on Friday when the driver of a car, carrying the three Bangladeshis, lost control over the steering on Makkah Road in the morning, leaving them dead. Earlier in the day, nine people, including three Bangladeshi workers, were killed and 27 others sustained injuries in another road accident in Saudi Arabia’s Majma'ah, according to a news agency.
