Three banks enter into HK clearing A/C with ICICI Bank

Three local commercial banks have signed clearing account agreements with ICICI Bank Ltd Bangladesh.
The banks are Bank Asia, First Security Islami Bank and Rupali Bank, said a press release.
"This clearing account will provide modern facilities to the three banks to process cross border payments which will ultimately accelerate the inflow of remittances in the Bangladesh economy," the press release added.
Under the agreements, ICICI Hong Kong will allow the three banks to enjoy competitive advantage, specially bridging the time gap between Fareast Asia and Bangladesh.
Syed Aminul Kabir, Chief Representative of ICICI Bank Ltd Bangladesh, its senior relationship officer Shah Alam Khan and the senior executives of Bank Asia, First Security Islami Bank and Rupali Bank were present in the signing ceremonies held separately.
AAM Zakaria, managing director of First Security Islami Bank, Md Abdul Hamid Miah, managing director of Rupali Bank and Irteza Reza Chowdhury, senior executive vice president of Bank Asia represented their respective companies in the ceremonies.
