Three burned playing with fire on New Year's Eve in city

Three teenagers received burn injuries while flying lanterns on the roof of a neighboring house to celebrate 31st night (Sunday night) in the capital's Kamrangichar area, reports UNB.
The burn victims were identified as Md. Siam, 14, son of Swapan Bepari, and twin brothers--Md. Rakib Hossain and Md. Raihan (17), both sons of Danesh Bepari.
They are uncle and nephew in relationship. They all hail from Jajira Upazila in Shariatpur district. At present they have been living at Mojibar Ghat area of Kamrangichar in the capital.
Resident physician of Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery, Md. Tariqul Islam said, three people have been brought with burns on Sunday night.
Among them, Siam received 88 per cent burn injuries of his body, Rakib's 6 per cent and Raihan 2 per cent.
Condition of Siam is stated to be critical and he is being treated in the hospital, while the other two were released after giving first aid.
The incident took place on the roof of the 5th floor of Sohel Saheb's house at Kamrangirchar Mujibar Ghat.
Siam's cousin Sajib said that Siyam was lighting fire with kerosene in his mouth. Accidentally, kerosene fell on his body and caught fire.
