Three cos recommend dividends

Three listed companies Sunday recommended stock dividends . The companies are Uttara Finance Limited, United Commercial Bank Limited and City General Insurance Company Limited. The board of the directors of Uttara Finance has recommended 40 per cent stock dividend for the year that ended on December 31, 2010. The annual general meeting of the company will be held on May 30. The record date is May 3. Time and venue of the AGM will be notified later. The company has stated net profit after tax of Tk 845.95 million, EPS of Tk 16.02, NAV per share of Tk 62.68 and NOCFPS of Tk 15.72 for the year that ended on December 31, 2010 as against Tk 495.43 million, Tk 9.38, Tk 65.27 and Tk 23.31 respectively for the year that ended on December 31, 2009. The board of directors of United Commercial Bank Ltd has recommended 25 per cent stock dividend for the year that ended on December 31, 2010. The AGM of the company will be held at Army Golf Club, Dhaka Cantonment, Dhaka at 10:30 AM on May 30. The record date is May 4. The bank has stated net asset value (NAV) of Tk 7,816.50 million, EPS of Tk 7.50 and NOCFPS of Tk 6.08 for the year that ended on December 31, 2010. The board of directors of City General Insurance Company Ltd has recommended 12 per cent stock dividend for the year that ended on December 31, 2010. The AGM of the company will be held at Institution of Diploma Engineers, Bangladesh, Kakrail, Dhaka at 10:30 AM on June 23. The record date is May 4. The company has stated EPS of Tk 2.65, NAV per share of Tk 15.16 and NOCFPS of Tk 3.93 for the year that ended on December 31, 2010.
