FE Report
A three-day share market fair will kick off tomorrow (Thursday) in a bid to disseminate first hand knowledge about the capital market.
The fair titled Share Bazar Mela 2010 has been organised by Sheraton Hotel for the second time at its Winter Garden.
The move came after the successful conclusion of the first share market fair held in 2009. Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) are the co-organisers of the fair.
Mr. Ghulam Mohammad Quader, minister of Civil Aviation and Tourism, will inaugurate the fair tomorrow (Thursday).
"A large number of new investors are entering the capital market every day. The objective of arranging the fair is to give them first hand knowledge for their investment," Ahmad Bukhari Hamzah, General Manager of Sheraton Hotel, said.
"Students will also be able to gain knowledge of the capital market without any fees," he said.
This year a total of 22 stalls will be placed in the fair and visitors will not have to pay any entry fee.
Five seminars will be arranged in the fair and market analysts, teachers of the University of Dhaka and high officials of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) will attend as resource persons.
The seminar titled "Investment Strategy for the beginners" will be held on March 25, at 4pm.
"Investor's Awareness Program" will be held on March 26 at 10.30am. Another seminar titled "Internet Trading Service" arranged by CSE will start at 4.30pm on March 26.
