Three days online classes from next week: Minister
FE REPORT | Friday, 10 April 2026
A new hybrid class routine system for students -- with three days of in-person classes and three days online -- will come into effect from next week.
Education Minister A N M Ehsanul Hoque Milon disclosed the development while inaugurating a national workshop on incorporating technical courses into the National University curriculum as the chief guest at the International Mother Language Institute in the capital on Thursday.
He said physical classes would be held on Saturday, Monday, and Wednesday; while the other three days would shift to online learning. Friday would remain the weekly holiday.
About the challenges in the current system, the minister opined that the lengthy board examination process is wasting valuable time of students, which could harm future generations.
Excessive time spent on setting question papers, evaluating answer scripts, and publishing results are causing delays in students' academic progression.
"While officials may benefit from the current system, students are losing up to two years of their academic life. This is unacceptable," he mentioned.
