Three die in Dinajpur road accident

Three people have died including the driver after a bus as the vehicle crashed into a roadside Banyan tree in Dinajpur’s Ghorhaghat Upazila. At least 20 others were injured in the accident that took place around 4:00am on Thursday in Palli Bidyut area of Raniganj. OC of Ghorhaghat Police Station Nuruzzaman said the Dinajpur-bound bus of ‘Insaf Special Paribahan’ started off from Dhaka. The deceased were identified as the driver bus Md Sultan, 45, and passengers, ‘Raihan’, 27, and Abdus Salam, 22. The injured were rescued and taken to the Ghorhaghat upazila headquarters and were admitted to a local hospital. The police official quoted locals saying the driver apparently lost control before going off the road, according to a news agency.
