Three die in Khulna road accident

KHULNA, Apr 07 (BSS): Three people, including a child, were killed and eight others injured in a road accident at Dumuria Upazila on Khulna-Satkhira highway on Saturday.
The deceased were identified as driver of the rickshaw van Asafur Rahman, 35, and van passengers Naryan Mondal, 55, and Sakibul, 9.
OC of Dumuria Police Station said the accident occurred in Mazher Bari area of the upazila, when a Khulna-bound bus struck a rickshaw van and an auto-rickshaw.
Asafur and Naryan died on the spot and Sakibul succumbed to his injuries at a local health complex.
Of the injured, five were admitted to upazila health complex while three others were admitted to the Khulna Medical College Hospital (KMCH), the OC added.
