Three die in road accident

At least three people were killed and six others injured in a head-on collision between a bus and a leguga (human hauler) at Ghatail Upazila in Tangail on Friday evening. The deceased were identified as Rawshan Ara, 30, wife of Rafiqul Islam, her daughter Meem, 7, hailing from Gangair village of Modhupur Upazila of the district, and Hedayet Ullah, 35, a resident of Dhopakandi village of Gopalpur Upazila. Witnesses said a Mymensingh-bound bus from Tangail town rammed a human hauler on Mymensingh-Tangail Highway, leaving three people dead on the spot and four others injured around 7pm. Local people rescued the injured and whisked the to Tangail Medical College Hospital, according to a news agency.
