Three die in Sirajganj road crash

Three people, including a policeman, were killed and three others injured in a road accident at Mulibari on west side of Bangabandhu (Jamuna) Bridge approach road in Sirajganj Sadar Upazila on Wednesday morning. Of the deceased, one was identified as Based, 28, a police constable, while two others could not be known immediately. Aminul Islam, officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station, said a truck ran into a police van and a truck from behind when a patrol team of police tried to remove a truck lying stationary there after breakdown in the area around 5:40am, leaving a policeman and two people in the faulty truck dead on the spot and three others injured. The injured were admitted to Sirajganj Sadar Hospital, according to a news agency.
