Three died, five injured in separate incidents in Ctg

CHITTAGONG, Nov 17 (BSS): Three including a woman died in separate incidents in the city and district on Friday, police and hospital sources said. The identity of the two out of three victims are-- Abdus Samad, a CNG- run auto-rickshaw passenger and Alam, an auto-rickshaw driver.
Sources said Samad and Alam died on the spot when their auto- rickshaw collided head-on with a goods laden covered van in Mirsarai Sadar on Dhaka-Chittagong highway in the district at about 1.30 pm Friday.
Five others sustained injuries in the mishap and they were admitted to a local health centre. On the other hand , a petrol team of Kotwali police recovered a woman aged about 35 in an unconscious state from Petrol Pump crossing at Jamal Khan Road at 9.00 pm Friday night.
Police rushed the woman to Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) in a critical condition where attending doctors declared her dead.
