Three docs among 7 held over question paper leak

Rapid Action Battalion (Rab)  personnel arrested seven people—three physicians, three teachers and a coaching centre director—from different areas of Rangpur city on Monday and Tuesday for their alleged involvement in question paper leakage for medical admission test. The arrested physicians are Dr Shariful Hasan Anto, Dr Mostafizur Rahman Pavel and Dr Zillur Rahman of Rangpur Medical College Hospital while the three teachers of ‘ONE Coaching Centre’ of the city are Jamiluddin, Atiqur Rahman Adil and Shazratul Yakin and the other arrestee is Manjur Rahman, director of ‘Primet Medical Coaching Centre’ in the city. Tipped off, a team of Rab-13 arrested the three doctors, three teachers and coaching director after conducting drives in different areas of the city from Monday morning to Tuesday noon. Briefing reporters on Tuesday, company commander of Rab-13 Captain Ashraf Ali said the arrestees confessed to their involvement in the question paper leakage. The elite force later handed the arrestees over to Kotwali police station, officer-in-charge of the police station Abdul Kader Zilani said, according to a news agency--Aminul.
