Tuesday, 15 March 2011

IRAKLIO, Mar 14: Authorities on the Greek island of Crete Monday found the bodies of three men believed to be part of a Bangladeshi group that fled a ship evacuating them from Libya earlier in March, officials said, reports AFP. The bodies were found near Souda Bay in the island's northwest, local coastguard chief Nektarios Bonatakis told reporters. "We were told that a body had been found near the harbour and then we found two more," Bonatakis said. "One of them carried a Bangladeshi identity card." The men were bare-chested and were about 25 years old, he said.
