Three foreign varsities desirous of doing research with SMMU

CHITTAGONG, May 14 (BSS): Three renowned foreign maritime universities have expressed keen interests in carrying out research with the proposed Sheikh Mujib Maritime University (SMMU) in Chittagong. The universities expressed interests in joint research are: World Maritime University (WMU) of Sweden, Dalian Maritime University (DMU) of China and Vietnam Maritime University (VMU). A source in the SMMU project said a three-member Bangladesh delegation comprising Shipping Secretary Abdul Mannan Howlader, Project Director of SMMU Sajid Hossain and Nautical Instructor Towfiqul Isalm is now visiting Sweden, China and Vietnam for exchanging views with the concerned officials of maritime universities there.
