Three held in connection with double murder

Three persons were arrested on Saturday in connection with the killing of two brothers over dispute related to business in Chittagong city. Officer-in-Charge of Chandgaon Police Station Shah Mohammad Abdur Rouf said the arrestees were involved in business rivalry with the victims. Two brothers – Faridul Alam, 45, and Abu Siddique, 42, sons of late Abdus Sabur and a resident of Badamtoli area, were killed in an attack by their rivals over dispute relating to trade in Badamtali area at 11:20pm on Friday. Police said rivals attacked the two brothers at night while they were returning home after attending a Namaj-e-Janaza, leaving Faridul dead on the spot and Siddique injured critically. Later, they were taken to Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) where duty-doctor declared them dead, according to a news agency.
