Three held with 2,890 bottles of Phensidyl

Police arrested three people along with 2,890 bottles of Indian Phensidyl syrup from a trawler at Nawapara in the Sandhya River in Nesarabad upazila of Pirojpur district on Friday evening. The arrestees were identified as Faruk, Abdur Rashid and Nurul Islam, all residents of Labanchora village in Sadar upazila of Khulna district. Manirul Islam, officer-in-charge of Nesarabad Police Station said, tipped off a team of police conducted a drive in the area and seized a trawler at about 7:00 pm. Later, the law enforcers recovered 2890 bottles of Indian Phensidyl syrup searching the trawler and arrested the four. Details of the drive will be informed about the drive at a press briefing at about 1:00 pm. A case was filed in this connection, according to a news agency.
