Three innovators get BD Computer Council award

Bangladesh Computer Council (BCC) Saturday awarded three best innovators of Union Information Service Centres (UISCs) for their remarkable contribution to transform Bangladesh into digital one at rural level, reports BSS.
Secretary-In-Charge of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Division Kamal Uddin Ahmed handed over the awards to winners as the chief guest at a function at BCC auditorium.
The BCC organised Sustainability Challenges of Union Digital Centres Entrepreneurs (SCUDCE) award giving ceremony with ICT joint secretary and project director of SCUDCE Sushanta Kumar Saha in the chair. Executive Director of BCC SM Ashraful Islam spoke as the special guest.
The awardees are M Moniruzzaman of Mendipur Union Information Service Centre (UISC) in Netrokona, Sakib Hasan of Dubail UISC in Kustia and Mahbubur Rahman of Kamarjani UISC in Gaibandha district.
The project funded by South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) Development Fund. The project is being implemented in Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan and the Maldives.
Two laptops, one printer, one scanner, one set of furniture, two wireless modems and a multimedia projector have been distributed to 200 UDCs in remote areas under the project.
