Three killed, 15 injured in road accidents

KUSHTIA, July 1 (UNB): Three people were killed and 15 others injured in two separate road accidents in the district Saturday.
The deceased were identified as Jamir Ali (40), of Madandanga village, and Moslem Uddin (70), of Madhupur village of Jhenidah district, and Shahajuddin (27), of village Hajrahati at Kushtia Sadar Upazila.
Sources said a speeding bus rammed into a three-wheeler, locally known as Nasiman, at Bittapara on Kushtia-Jhenidah highway in the afternoon, leaving Nasiman passengers Jamir and Moslem dead on the spot and eight others injured.
In another incident, Shahajuddin was killed and seven others were injured when another Nasiman overturned at Nalkhola area on Kushtia-Alamdanga road at the same time.
The injured were admitted to the Kushtia General Hospital.
