Three killed, four injured in separate road mishaps in different districts

COMILLA, Sept 5 (UNB): Three people were killed and 19 others injured in separate road mishaps in different districts Tuesday.
In Comilla, a man was killed and four people were injured when a truck rammed into a CNG-run auto-rickshaw at Ratanpur under Dakkhin Sadar Upazila Wednesday.
Police said the truck hit the three-wheeler, killed auto-rickshaw passenger Rajesh Chandra Pal (35), and injured four others.
The injured were admitted to Comilla Medical College Hospital.
In Thakurgaon, a schoolgirl was killed in a road accident in front of Balaka Cinema hall in the district town Tuesday.
The deceased was identified as Pingki (13), only daughter of Abdul Jabbar, also a student of class VI of Thakurgaon Government Girls' High School.
Witnesses said the accident occurred at about 10:00 am when a speeding truck rammed the rickshaw carrying Pinkgi and her two schoolmates, killing her on the spot. However, the two other girls and the rickshaw-puller miraculously escaped unhurt.
After the accident the truck fled the scene hurriedly.
In Madaripur, a minor boy was crushed under the wheels of a bus on Amgram bridge under Rajoir Upazila Tuesday.
The deceased was identified as Ujjal (8), son of Fajal Bepari of Farankandi area of Amgram village in the upazila.
