Three killed in Moulvibazar landslide

MOULVIBAZAR, May 10 (UNB): Three members of a family, including a child, were killed in an incident of rain-triggered landslide at a tea garden in South Shahbazpur of Baralekha upazila on Saturday morning.
The deceased were identified as Rajesh, 35, his wife Manju, 25, and their eight-month-old daughter Shima.
The couple used to work in the tea garden.
Akbar Hossain, officer-in-charge of Baralekha Police Station, said the incident occurred at 9:00 am when a heavy chunk of mud from a hill beside, loosened by rain, collapsed on the house of Rajesh, leaving him, his wife and daughter dead on the spot.
