Three killed in Sirajganj accidents

Three people have been killed and at least six others injured in two separate road accidents in Sirajganj district. The dead are 'Ujjal', 20, his brother-in-law 'Shahin', 30, and Siddique Hossain, 25. A bus and an auto-rickshaw collided head-on near the Sayedabaad Bridge in Sadar Upazila on Wednesday afternoon, killing auto-rickshaw driver Ujjal and Shahin on the spot. Bangabandhu (Jamuna) Bridge's Paschimpar Police Station OC Aminul Islam said three auto-rickshaw passengers, who were injured in the accident, had been hospitalised. Meanwhile, another auto-rickshaw and a four-wheeler collided in Koyda Bazar in Ullaparha Upazila. Ullaparha Police Station OC Tajul Huda said a four-wheeler passenger Siddique Hossain was killed on spot and three others were injured. They were rescued and whisked to a local health complex, the OC said, according to a news agency.
