Three labourers die falling from Basabo building

Three construction workers died on Friday after falling from a 10-storey under-construction building in the capital's Basabo area.
The deceased were identified as Altabur (40), Antor (25) and Mofizul (20).
A sub-inspector at Sabujbagh Police Station told the FE that the incident happened at around 10:00 am when the trio were working in the building located behind No. 7 Mayakanon Mosque in the area.
Sudden fall from the top of the building left Altabur and Antor dead on the spot and Mofizul severely injured.
Later Mofizul rushed to nearby Mugda Medical College Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries at around 2:00 pm.
The bodies were handed over to the deceased's families after autopsies were done at Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
Altabur hailed from Madarganj upazila of Jamalpur district while Mofizul from Jamalpur sadar and Antor (25) from Muktagacha upazila of Mymensingh district.
