Three lawyers denied bail over \\\'terror financing\\\'

CHITTAGONG, Sept 20 (UNB): A court turned on Thursday down the bail of the three lawyers arrested in connection with 'terror financing'.
The accused are Barrister Shakila Farzana (39), daughter of BNP leader and former whip Syed Wahidul Alam, advocate Hasanuzzaman Liton (30), hailing from Kushtia and a resident of Mirpur-10, and advocate Mahfuz Chowdhury Bapon (25).
Judge of Chittagong District and Sessions court SM Nurul Huda passed the order after hearing on separate bail petitions.
On August 19, a Chittagong court put the three lawyers on a four-day remand each in a case filed a day after their arrest from the capital's Dhanmondi area on charge of terror financing.
They were shown arrested in a case filed in connection with arms recovery.
