Three ministers, two state ministers sworn in

Three ministers and two state ministers were sworn in Tuesday evening as Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina expanded her cabinet for the second time inducting three new faces, report agencies.
President Abdul Hamid administered the oath in presence of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at Bangabhaban Darbar Hall. Cabinet Secretary M Musharraf Hossain Bhuiyan conducted the oath-taking ceremony. The ceremony began with recitation from the holy Quran.
State Minister for Home Affairs Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal and State Minister for Science and Technology Yeafesh Osman took oath as the full ministers.
Chittagong AL leader and former MP Nurul Islam BSc was also sworn in as a minister.
The two state ministers are Nuruzzaman Ahmed, MP, from Lalmonirhat-2 constituency and Tarana Halim elected MP from the reserved seat-16.
Finance Minister AMA Muhith, Industries Minister Amir Hossain Amu, Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed and Agriculture Minister Matia Chowdhury, among others, were present.
Newly-inducted minister Nurul Islam BSc has got the charge of the Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment Ministry while two new state ministers-Tarana Halim and Nuruzzaman Ahmed-got the charge of the Posts and Telecommunications Ministry and the Food Ministry respectively.
Besides, State Minister for Home Affairs Asaduzzaman Khan and State Minister for Science and Technology Yeafes Osman have been given the full charge of their respective ministries as they have been elevated to full minister.
The Cabinet Division Tuesday evening issued a gazette notification distributing the portfolios among the new ministers.
With the inclusion of thee new faces, Sheikh Hasina's cabinet now turned into 52-member one comprising 32 ministers, 18 state ministers and two deputy ministers.
Besides, she has five advisers with the status of ministers.
