Three more die from suspected measles in 24 hrs

The health authorities have registered three more deaths from suspected measles in
24 hours until Saturday 8:0 am.
With the new fatalities, the total number of measles-related deaths has risen to 753 since mid-March this year. Of the total fatalities, 93 were confirmed cases, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) bulletin.
Meanwhile, as many as 702 suspected and 84 confirmed measles infections were recorded in the 24 hours.
The total number of suspected measles infections rose to 110,601 and confirmed infections to 13,410 since mid-March, said DGHS.
In response to a measles outbreak rapidly spreading across the country, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has already vaccinated over 18.47 million children since April.
