Three more shops fined in Rajshahi

RAJSHAHI, Aug 20 (BSS): Three more owners of consumer shops were fined Taka 11,000 as they were found selling the consumer goods at an exorbitant price here on Saturday.
A team of the Department of National Consumers Right Protection (DNCRP) conducted raids at Kasiadanga Bazar under Rajpara Police Station and found the shop owners involved in selling egg, meat and fuel oil at an exorbitant price.
DNCRP Assistant Director Hassan Al Maruf said the shops are-- Kamrul Grocery Shop, Rafi Traders and Radia Meat Store.
He also said that the shop owners were also seen doing their business without showing pricelist of the items.
Earlier on Friday, owners of four poultry bird shops were fined Taka 14,000 as they were found involved in selling poultry birds and eggs at exorbitant prices.
