Three murdered in separate incidents in city

Three people, including a woman, were murdered in the city's Sabujbagh and Gulshan areas on Saturday night, reports UNB.
The victims were identified as Shah Ali, (45), son of late Siraj Ali of 145 South Mugda, Rokeya Begum, (45), wife of Belal of Kamalapur area, and Shyamal Mitra, a driver, of 177 Tejkunipara.
Shah Ali, a garment jhut trader, came out from his residence for Mugda bazar Saturday at about 7:00 pm. Gunmen sprayed bullets on him while he was taking tea at a stall at Mugda bazar at about 7:30 pm.
He was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries at about 1:30 am.
Juli Begum, wife of the victim, alleged that her husband was killed following previous enmity with one of his partners.
In another incident, Sabujbagh police recovered the body of Rokeya from near Kamalapur foot over-bridge at about 2:30 am.
Police suspected that the victim was strangulated to death.
In the third incident of killing, driver Shyamal Mitra was stabbed near Gulshan circle-1 Dhaka City Corporation Market at about 11:30 pm.
