Three RMG guards shot at in city

Three security guards of a garment factory were shot and wounded in an attack by gun-trotting extortionists in the city's Mirpur area Saturday afternoon, reports UNB.
The victims were identified as guard supervisor Abdul Aziz (53) and guards Kawser Parvez (30) and M Amzad Hossain (30) of the factory of Epillion Group.
Hospital sources said a gang of 5-6 gunmen opened fire on the security guards at 1:10pm when they were on duty at the knitwear garment factory of the group at Mirpur section 11.
A police officer, watching the CCTV of the factory, said: "One of the suspected gunmen got into the factory spraying bullets indiscriminately and guards Parvez and Amzad were injured in the shootings."
