Three suffer bullet wounds in Ctg AL infighting

CHATTOGRAM, Apr 20 (UNB): Three leaders of local unit of Jubo League were shot in a clash with the supporters of a local Awami League (AL) leader at Amjur Haat in Patia upazila of Chattogram district on Tuesday night.
The injured are Jamir Uddin (53), former joint convener of Patia municipality unit of Jubo League and two former assistant secretaries of Haidgaon union Jubo League-Saiful Islam (38) and Iqbal (40).
Locals said AL upazila unit activist Mujibul Haque Chowdhury and joint general secretary of central unit of Jubo League Mohammad Badiul Alam had been at loggerheads over establishing supremacy in the area.
