Three suffer burn injuries in fire at Pallabi

Three persons including a woman were injured in a fire that broke out in a readymade garments shop following an explosion of a television set placed inside the shop in city's Pallabi area early Tuesday, reports BSS.
The incident took place due to an explosion of a television set around 5.30 am in the shop near Sangbadik Colony at Mirpur-12 under Pallabi Thana, sub inspector (SI) Rakibul Alam told the news agency.
At least three persons including the owner of the shop suffered critical burn injuries, he said, adding that all of them were sent to the burn unit of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).
Locals extinguished the fire soon after it broke out.
Of the injured, Arefin alias Arif (30), owner of the shop, suffered 95 per cent burn injuries, his uncle Monwar Hossain (40) 58 per cent while Minara Begum (30), a cloth trader, 25 per cent, hospital source said.
