Three to die for killing mother

KURIGRAM, Sept 16: A Kurigram court Sunday sentenced three sons to death for killing their mother. Additional district and sessions judge Farzana Begum delivered the verdict in a case filed by father Asgar Ali Sufi. On June 15, 2006, Abdul Latif (35), Abdul Hye (32) and Abdus Sobhan (28) knifed their parents in bid to grab the paternal property and mother Jamela Khatun died on the spot. The neighbours handed over the three brothers to the police. On June 16, 2006 Asgar Ali filed a murder case with Ulipur Police Station against the three sons. —bdnews24.com
