Three to die for killing schoolboy

Three people have been sentenced to death and another one to life term imprisonment for kidnapping and killing a schoolboy in the city about eight years ago. Then officer-in-charge of Shyampur police station Jahangir Alam, now a court inspector in Natore, has been sentenced to 5yrs in prison and fined Tk 5,000 for releasing the lifer after his arrest following the kidnapping. Tanjirul Islam Mishel, a student of Dania High School, was kidnapped from Dania under Shyampur police station on July 5, 2003 for ransom and his decomposed body was recovered from a water-body at neighbouring Rasulbagh Zia Sarani 14 days later. - bdnews24.com.
