Three to walk gallows for killing

Three persons were sentenced to death Tuesday for killing electrician Rubel by beheading him in the old parts of the city in 2010, reports BSS.
Judge Muhammad Rezaul Islam of Dhaka Special Judge's Court-5 handed down the verdict at around 12:40 pm.
The condemned convicts are Md Rubel (21), a resident of Companyganj under Bhandaria Upazila in Barisal, Md Rumman (20), a resident of Matuwail of Dhaka and Md Ronny Biswas (20), a resident of Sutrapur.
According to the prosecution, the convicts strangulated Md Rubel at Shah Kamal Hotel at Jhonson Road in Old Dhaka on June 6, 2010 as a sequel to a previous enmity.
Later, police recovered Rubel's body and arrested the trio from MIM Hotel of the area on June 7, 2010.
