Throat-slit body recovered in Meherpur

MEHERPUR, Nov 16 (UNB): Police recovered the body of a salon owner with the throat slashed from a mango orchard at Ballavpur village in Mujibnagar upazila on Sunday morning.
The deceased identified as Paresh Das,40, a resident of Chuadanga district and son-in-law of Kartik Das of Ballabhpur village of the upazila was proprietor of a hair salon in the area.
Police said local people spotted the body of Paresh, with the throat slit, lying in a mango orchard of one Badal Mondal at the village at about 7:00 am and informed police.
Later, police recovered the body and sent it to Meherpur General Hospital morgue for an autopsy.
