She was speaking at the inaugural function of the five-day fair 'Borsha Mela' organised by the design centre of Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industries Corporation (BSCIC) on its premises.
Terming BSCIC a specialised organisation linked with small and cottage industries, she said: "The organisation should provide necessary trainings and suggestions to develop entrepreneurs' skills."
Some 78 trainees received certificates in 11 trades from the design centre of the BSCIC.
However, entrepreneurs are displaying food products, honey, wooden and clay-made products, dress materials, Jamdani and handloom saris, Nakshi blanket, jute and leather products at 61 stalls.
The fair will remain open from 10 am to 5 pm every day up to July 28 next.
