Thrust on expanding scope of cost audit ICMAB team calls on commerce secy

A delegation of the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) called on Commerce Secretary Feroz Ahmed at the latter's office in the city Wednesday.
During the meeting, they discussed about the progress of current on-going projects of the ICMAB, said a press release.
Among others, matters relating to expanding the scope of cost audit, amendment to CMA Ordinance, land for new academic building and World Bank projects were brought to the notice of the commerce secretary.
The ICMAB delegation sought cooperation from the commerce secretary for the early implementation of the issues.
The secretary appreciated the increased role of Cost and Management Accountants for the establishment of good governance, transparency, accountability and financial discipline in the business and industrial sectors of the country.
Among others, Acting President of the ICMAB ABM Shamsuddin, former president AKM Delwer Hussain, Secretary ASM Shaykhul Islam, Executive Director of the Institute MA Matin and Joint Secretary of the Commerce Ministry Mohammad Ali Patwary were present at the meeting.
