Conference of NCC Bank officials and executives of Greater Noakhali and Comilla based branches was held at Feni Saturday.
Tofazzal Hossain, chairman of the bank, attended the conference as the chief guest, said a press release.
Managing Director Md Nurul Amin presided over the conference, while Chairman of the Executive Committee Md Nurun Newaz and former chairman M Wazhiullah Bhuiyan were present as special guests on the occasion.
Tofazzal Hossain, in his speech, said now-a-days banking is not just procuring deposit and lending money in conventional way to which we have been habituated to from time immemorial.
Things has changed, we must be aware of the changed situation and steps should be taken to face the challenge, he said.
He laid emphasis on procuring low-cost deposits in the locality and also increasing investment in new profitable sectors.
The MD said NCC Bank is considering opening of a unit of NCC Bank Brokerage House at Feni to attract investors to the capital market.
