Thrust on maintaining quality in lubricant industry

To popularise the environment-friendly Mobil 1 brand, Mobil Jamuna Lubricants (MJL) Bangladesh Limited held an international conference at a city hotel Sunday night.
The title of the conference was 'Mobil 1 Customer Relationship Program 2010'. Secretary of Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources Mohammad Mesbahuddin was present on the occasion as the chief guest. Managing Director of MJL Bangladesh Limited Mr Azam J Chowdhury delivered the inaugural speech while Field Engineering Manager of ExxonMobil Asia Pacific Ltd Mr Stuart McKenzie shared on the history and world experience of Mobil 1 brand.
Acknowledging the contribution of MJL Bangladesh Ltd to the country's energy sector, Mesbahuddin said, 'Mobil 1 is environment friendly and it ensures the good health of engine and emits zero carbon as well as prevents wastage of fuel.
Mr Mesbahuddin also congratulated the company's management for supplying quality products to the customers. He expressed satisfaction over the company's plan to develop the market in Bangladesh.
Mr Chowdhury noted the importance of standards and specifications for the petroleum industry. He said that MJL Bangladesh Ltd is always committed to upholding quality of products as well as providing after sales service. He urged the customers to use environment-friendly world standard Mobil 1 brand.
He also lauded the stringent quality control measures practiced by the company and their untiring efforts to eradicate the problem of adulteration from the lubricant industry.
Mr Chowdhury also discussed in detail the huge popularity of this new lubricant oil worldwide and emphasised enhancing the use of this premier brand item in Bangladesh.
He informed that the company's laboratory has received ExxonMobil's certificate of compliance and achieved record setting precision in blending lubricants according to global standards. Due to the company's dedication to quality and professionalism, it has been given permission to export Mobil and Esso brand lubricants starting with the responsibility for supporting the Nepalese market since 2007.
He also said that Mobil Jamuna Lubricants Joint Venture Company is an exemplary case study of successful public and private sector cooperation.
Leading business personnel from the oil, power and industrial sectors of the country were present on the occasion.
MJL is the joint venture company between state-owned Jamuna Oil Company and EC Securities Limited of the East Coast Group operating in the country since 1998.
