Thrust on mutual recognition of membership of qualified CAs from ICAB, ICAEW

FE ReportbrA delegation of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB) headed by its president Md Humayun Kabir attended a ceremony on the occasion of completion of UK-based IFRSIAS training course held in London recently.brThe course is an important element of the ICAEW (Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales) World Bank-Bangladesh programme held at Chartered Accountants Hall, Moorgate Place in the UK capital. brVice President of ICAB Md Syful Islam accompanied the ICAB President. Apart from attending the completion ceremony of the training course on IFRSIAS the ICAB delegation also discussed professional matters of mutual interest particularly about the ways of strengthening the relationship between ICAB and ICAEW and explore the possibility of signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for mutual recognition of membership of the Chartered Accountants qualifying from the ICAB and the ICAEW.br CEO of ICAEW Michael Izza, its president David Furst and Executive Director Mr Vernon Soare also met the President of ICAB to transact the above issues.
