Thrust on safety in workplaces, good owner-employee relation for greater productivity

Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) Vice-President Dewan Sultan Ahmed has emphasised the need for safety and security of the employees in the workplaces, and good owner-employee relationship for increasing the productivity of the organisations.
He said these while distributing certificates to the participants of a three-day training course on 'Labour-Management Relations' in the city recently. The training was organised under a project titled 'Capacity Building of the FBCCI', funded by the Government of Bangladesh (GOB).
The programme included modules on employment communication, employee counselling, trade unionism, collective bargaining, health and safety, employee benefits and services, handling employee grievances, labour welfare agencies and their functions, social security and its implications, and Bangladesh Labour Law - 2006 etc.
A number of experts from various training institutions along with senior officials of FBCCI conducted the courses. Around thirty representatives from the leading chambers, associations and business houses took part in the training.
The FBCCI vice-president, in his speech on the occasion, also expected that the trainees would be benefited through the training, and be able to develop their skill.
Among others, FBCCI Director Md Abdul Wahed, Secretary General Syed Jamaluddin, Secretary Mir Muniruzzaman, Additional Secretary Faiz Ahmed, and Deputy Secretary (Project) and Course Coordinator M Anwarur Rahman were also present on the occasion.
