Thrust on sector-wise cost audit

The two-day workshop on 'Cost-Audit' organised by The Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) was held at its auditorium in the city Saturday, said a press release.
The programme was divided into three technical sessions.
Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) President AK Azad chaired the first session while Kailash Sanklecha, cost audit practitioner from India, presented the key-note paper on "Cost Audit on Pharmaceutical Sector".
Sonali Bank Limited Managing Director and CEO Md Humayun Kabir chaired the second session while Gopalakrishnan, vice president of ICWA, India presented the key-note paper on "Cost Audit on Textile Sector".
Bangadesh Chemical Industries Corporation Chairman Md Golam Rabbani chaired the third session while Kunal Banerjee, central council member and past president of ICWA, India presented the key-note paper on "Cost Audit on Fertiliser Sector".
ICMAB past president and council member Zahir Uddin Ahmed, past president and present vice president ABM Shamsuddin, past president and present vice president AKM Delwer Hussain also spoke on the occasion.
