The existing crises in the media will not be removed until an editorial institution is established, speakers told a seminar in the city Wednesday.
They said the responsibility to set up an editorial institution in the country lies on the government to help the media evolve.
Dhaka University Journalists' Association (DUJA) organised the seminar on 'Problems and Prospects of Professional Journalism in Bangladesh' at DU Senate Bhaban.
DU Vice-Chancellor Prof AAMS Arefin Siddique inaugurated the seminar. Information Minister Abul Kalam Azad attended the function as the chief guest. Associate Professor of DU Mofizur Rahman presented the keynote paper.
