Thunderbolt kills housewife

A housewife was killed and her husband injured by a lightning strike at Dhalaharachandra village in Shailakupa upazila of Jhenidah district on Sunday. The deceased was identified as Sathi Khatun, 24, wife of Shamsuddin, a resident of the village. Family members said a thunderbolt struck the couple while they were working in their brinjal field in the evening, leaving them critically injured. The injured were rushed to Shailakupa upazila health complex where Sathi succumbed to her injures, according to UNB.
