Thunderbolt kills mother, son in Habiganj

HABIGANJ, May 7 (BSS): A mother and her son were killed and another was injured when a thunderbolt hit them at Taliapara Tea Garden Colony under Madhabpur upazila of the district today.
The deceased were Dulali Rabi Das, 40, wife of Haripad Rabi Das and their son Sajan Robi Das, 16, of the same area.
Locals said the lightning followed by a rainstorm hit the trio around 2pm when they were in the veranda of their house.  They suffered critical injuries in the incident.
The injured were sent to Madhabpur Upazila Health Complex where on-duty doctors declared Dulali and Sajan dead.
Officer-in-charge of Madhabpur Police Station Abdul Baset confirmed the incident.
