Thunderbolt kills schoolboy in Kurigram

A schoolboy was killed by a lightning strike at Bhelamari village in Rajibpur upazila of Kurigram district on Tuesday afternoon. The deceased was identified as Khayrul Islam, son of Ershad Ali, a student of class IX. Family members said Khayrul was struck by a streak of lightning while he was playing football along with his friends amid drizzle. He was rushed to Rajibpur Upazila Health Complex where on-duty doctors declared him dead, according to UNB.
