Thunderbolt kills two in Noakhali

NOAKHALI, Feb 17 (UNB): A man and his nephew were killed as a thunderbolt hit them at Baorcourt village in Sonaimuri Upazila on Sunday.
The deceased were identified as Noman Hossain, 45, son of Abdul Matin and his nephew Saiful Islam, 12, son of Babul Mia of the village.
Quoting locals, officer-in-charge of Sonaimuri Police Station Abdus Samad said a streak of lightning hit the duo at noon while they were irrigating a paddy filed at the village, leaving them dead on the spot.
