TI killed in accident

CHITTAGONG, Apr 6: A traffic inspector (TI) was killed in a road accident at Fakirhat under Sitakunda thana Saturday night.
A Chittagong-bound van hit a standing truck on the Chittagong-Dhaka highway killing TI Nasir Uddin of highway police on the spot. The TI was standing behind the truck that got inoperative.
The police officer of highway police in Baro Aulia area under Sitakunda Syed Zakir Hossain said both the van and truck have been detained and the body has been sent to hospital morgue, but the drivers managed to flee.
